in the summer of my 24th year there was an outbreak of wildfires, and in their wake came the story of two kids, last seen spinning on an inflatable raft, in a pool, in a backyard, somewhere in the suburbs of central florida.
they set the fire in the forest. central florida draws natural disasters like southern california draws serial killers. hurricanes, tornadoes, lightning, urban sprawl, and wildfires. it took some work to get the flames going strong enough to reach the city. it takes dedication to really destroy something you love.
